Compulsory RSA

As of 1st January 2011 RSA will become compulsory for ANY person supplying alcohol. PLEASE NOTE...ONLINE RSA COURSES ARE NOT VALID IN VICTORIA!!! The Liquor Licensing Inspectors will only accept a certificate signed by the Director of Liquor Licensing and that can only be given to a person who has sat through a face to face class.

If any of your staff have a certificate they received online, it is not worth the paper it is written on.

Recently I came across 2 people who had received their RSA certificates online. They rang the shonky companies involved and got their money back. Liquor Licensing then rang these companies and advised them that they would NOT be approved trainers as they don't deliver the LLV approved course.

Any person who completed their RSA BEFORE 1st January 2008 will have to sit the course again to receive their updated LLV certificate (they will have 12 months to do this). Any person who completed their RSA AFTER 1st January 2008 and has their LLV approved certificate will only have to complete the online refresher course every 3 years.

If you would like me to come to your venue to run an RSA course or if you have any queries, please don't hesitate to contact me on 1800 228 423.
