The RSA certificate is a legal requirement for anybody working in an environment where alcohol is available for purchase. As an approved provider by Liquor Licensing Victoria, Somers Elite Training provides RSA training in accordance with the legal requirements under the Liquor Licensing legislation.

Courses in Melbourne are conducted by professional trainers, that have a minimum of 10 years management industry experience in hospitality and gaming, who will lead you through this fun and fascinating course.

Courses in Country Victoria are conducted by Somers Elite Training CEO Peter Somers.

Program elements include:

  • Learn about your obligations as an alcohol server.
  • Understanding the laws and regulations regarding the serving of alcohol.
  • Preparing and serving alcoholic beverages responsibly.
  • Learning to appropriately deal with alcohol affected customers.
  • Assisting customers to drink alcohol within appropriate limits.
  • Identifying customers who can be refused service.
  • Alcohol use and its effect of the human body.

Employees must obtain the RSA certificate within four weeks of obtaining employment. 

RSA (Provide Responsible Serving of Alcohol - SITHFAB009A) is Nationally Recognised unit of competency (except in NSW and QLD) which is conducted by Somers Elite Training at various metropolitan and regional locations throughout Victoria.
